The king size B&B rooms at Castaways come with the sound of the ocean's waves to lull you to sleep and sensational views up and down the coast to Apollo Bay.

There are two guest rooms fronting onto the timber deck where you can spend endless hours in a hammock, or at a table for two, just feasting your eyes on the scene laid out in front of you, where the land eases down to the Great Ocean Road and the shore of the Great Southern Ocean beyond. Although if it's wintry outside you can always stay warm in your king size bed and keep an eye out for passing whales.

The rooms are very spacious and extremely well appointed, so although they might have a stylistic castaway theme they're really rather indulgent. The ensuite facilities include a luxuriously large double shower. The rooms have lounge and dining furniture, an entertainment unit and a basic kitchenette.

Castaways is located at Skenes Creek, a few minutes from the village centre of Apollo Bay. The rural property backs onto bushland where you can wander among the native wallabies. The beach directly across the Great Ocean Road is a beautiful secluded spot that doesn't get crowded, even in midst of Summer. When you return from the beach you can use the heated outdoor shower to rinse off any sand before you dive into your ensuite for the full treatment.
