intrigued by the culture, this retreat has captured the spirit of traditional
design. The Retreat comprises two spacious self-contained suites, each
with traditional bathroom, featuring a deep spa tub, overlooking a private
Japanese garden with a traditional tsukubai water feature. Each suite
opens onto a large dais where where you can see the lake illuminated by
moonlight. The total package is unique, romantic, restful and luxurious.
Your stay includes abundant provisions for a Continental and cooked breakfast
each morning. A popular extra is the Japanese dinner for two, served in
your suite (vegetarian option available).
The Japanese Mountain Retreat is situated in a secluded five acre
bush setting, on the doorstep of the Dandenong Ranges and handy to the
Yarra Valley.
