Once the principal residence on the property, Mount Pleasant Homestead
has undergone a startling makeover for its new role in life as luxury,
self-contained, guest accommodation. It has a wonderfully individual style,
a fusion of country chic, contemporary colours and classic pieces from
diverse eras, all brillliantly set off by the white walls, polished timber
floors and uncluttered space.
The two bedrooms are ideal for two couples. One has an ensuite and the
other is across the hall from a spa bathroom. Curl up in front of the
wood fire in the lounge room and read a book or fire up the entertainment
system for an evening of movie viewing. Laze on the verandah and enjoy
the fresh country air.
The lounge leads through to the dining area and kitchen which occupy
one long room, perfect for sharing a great meal. Contemporary appliances
and fine quality china and glassware have the situation well covered for
any deft cook. Oh and you don't need to bring your own breakfast provisions
because these are laid on, with a full range of gourmet ingredients for
a legendary cooked brekky.
While the rural setting is enough for anyone who wants to just kick back
and enjoy the peace and quiet of the vast landscape, there are the temptations
of the Milawa gourmet region nearby or the beautiful, historic town of
Beechworth to discover.
