Woolrich has a deep connection with the history of the Dandenongs pioneer nurserymen, namely the Woolrich brothers. The weatherboard cottage was built in the 1920s for Ted Woolrich, and it retains many of its Art Deco character. Sympathetic renovations have focused on natural light, views, luxury accommodation and outdoor amenity.

One bedroom has a king size bed that can be split in two. The other bedroom has a queen size bed. Both have their own ensuite bathrooms, and share a separate room with a four person jacuzzi under a glass roof. The contemporary kitchen is well equipped and opens onto the large deck. An internal archway leads to the living room with its fine furniture and period open fire. A round dining table is positioned in bay window at the eastern end of the room overlooking the garden and mountains beyond.

The garden contains plantings of exotic trees and unusual specimens of rhododendrons, camellias, and azaleas, that are more mature than those found in most Dandenongs properties. Paths wind through the sloping site providing a mulitiude of perspectives. The garden adjoins Olinda's acclaimed Cloudehill Gardens and Woolrich guests can wander through this stunning garden with its brilliant herbaceous borders to the cafe and nursery.

A luxurious Garden Suite for two is also available on the Woolrich property bordering Cloudehill. It offers fully self-contained accommodation, including a bedroom with a king size bed (which can be configured as king singles), an ensuite with a top-of-the-range double spa bath and separate shower, a well equipped open plan kitchen, a living area with a traditional open fire, and a balcony overlooking Rangeview's woodlands.

Woolrich is 1.5km from the Olinda village hub with its arts and crafts stores, antique wares and cafes.
